In early 2017, San Jose was affected by the largest flood-related disaster in a century, resulting in over $70 million in damages. Due to a large lack of preparation from residents, many were greatly affected by this event. With a long strain of rainy days, water rises when it has nowhere to drain to. Floods can destroy homes, personal possessions, and the lives of those that are not prepared to handle them.

– Do you know where to go when a flood occurs?
– Do you know what areas are “safe” to walk in?
